Morning Routine

Math – We continued to look at increasing patterns, and learned a new math centre called Infinitely Increasing. I worked with Emery, Tiago, Parker, Annalise, Nev, Ava, Caden, Sam, and Niki on a patterning task.

Recess

Daily 5 – We read parent responses in our Weekend News Duotangs. Many students are still forgetting these at home after the weekend. Please try your best to send these to school on Mondays (or Tuesdays in the case of a long weekend like this one). The students did one round of Read to Self and one round of Read to Someone. As a class we continued to work on writing our letter to Mo Willems.

Lunch

Social – We continued working on our jobs in the community posters. The students will be sharing these with the rest of the class tomorrow.

French – Mme. Jasper

Recess

Drama – We played a new acting game.

Quiet Time

Mail – The youngest/only students received a form for “Muffins & Books” which will take place from 8-8:40 on Wednesday, October 18th. On this morning, parents/caregivers are invited to come to school to enjoy muffins and read with their child before school. This will take place in the shared learning area and the library. Unfortunately I will be away that morning, and so the students’ book boxes will be left outside the classroom so that they can read the books from their book boxes at this time. If you are interested in attending, please return the form by Friday (October 14th).
