Morning Routine – We have been focusing on remembering to use uppercase letters at the beginning of our sentences and punctuation at the end of our sentences, as well as writing numbers correctly (4’s and 6’s are written backwards frequently).

Recess

Daily 5 – Jiselle, Tiago, and Charlie read for us from their Weekend News Duotangs. We did two rounds of Read to Self, and read “Brady Brady and the Twirlin’ Torpedo” as a class.

Lunch

Talking Circle – As a connection to our Social unit about communities, the students shared about the jobs that their parents have.

Genius Hour – We learned about mindful listening, and practiced with two different listening experiments. We discussed careers that require precise listening, such as EMS operators.

Recess

Social – We continued to brainstorm jobs in the community, and considered how our society is interdependent – we all depend on each other.

Quiet Time
