Farewell

We had a wonderful last week in Grade 2. Final Genius Hour presentations, fun at the spray park, and an ice cream party kept the class busy throughout the week!

Our final day ended with lots of tear and hugs. I have been truly blessed to have such an amazing year with such a great group of kids! I am going to miss each and every student as well as this wonderful school and community.

Keep your kiddos reading! Here is a short post with a few ideas to help your child continue to love reading over the summer: https://pernillesripp.com/2016/05/23/parents-how-to-help-your-child-keep-reading-over-the-summer/

Have a safe and relaxing summer!

We spent our day today finishing off our Genius Hour presentations and boards. The students did awesome during their presentations today! Way to go Grade 2’s!

***We are going to the Spray Pad/Playground at the Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre tomorrow. We will be leaving around 10:30 and heading back to the school around 1:15. It is recommended that your child has their bathing suit on under their clothes (with extra dry clothes and perhaps underwear in their bag to change when we return to school), as we will be leaving in the morning and won’t have direct access to change rooms. Please pack a water bottle, lunch, sunscreen, and a hat for your child as the forecast calls for a beautiful day!

****We will be having an ice cream sundae bar on Thursday. I will be providing ice cream and a small selection of toppings. If you could send along additional toppings (ie: chocolate sauce, candy, etc.) that are nut-free, that would be great 🙂

*****The students will be dismissed at 2:30 on Thursday!
